Earlier this week we had a visit from our favorite Equine Chiropractor! She adjusted 4 horses and even entertaineed quite an audience of spectators while doing so.

~

Sierra, my horse, was adjusted first. this has been her second adjustment by Judy and she is dramataic to say the least! She was sure to give Judy the stink eye during each maneuver. I have seen such a huge improvement in Sierra's gait, movements and behavior since her first adjustment that I knew she benefits greatly from the adjustments. Judy also found a few spots that might indicate I have a saddle issue. Since I ride Sierra multiple times a week in the same saddle it is likely the culprit of her issues. I'll be looking into some saddle fit information in the coming days. The reason I wanted Sierra adjusted was because she gets very squirrelly when I'm saddling her and when I put my foot up in the stirrup to step on. She was quite tender to the touch in her girth and 'armpit' area behind her elbow. Since the adjustment she isn't tender at all so I'm looking forward to getting the saddle on and riding just as soon as this icy weather is done - fingers crossed on that one. ~

Sonny, Maddie's Senior Tennessee Walker was next. His main area of issue was his hips. He had a lot of tenderness in his hips and she noticed he is quite "hollow" (meaning basically he doesnt keep his hind feet underneath him enough and is not engaging his 'ab' muscles sufficiently. She also adjusted his poll and withers to resolve that issue. She also adjusted his withers and lumbar.

~ I missed the majority of Buckie's adjustments but Mischelle said she was a MESS! She was adjusted almost everywhere (poll, neck, withers, ribs, hips and shoulder). This should resolve Buckie's recent reluctance of getting cinched up.

Buckie also had a very off-balance poll which likely has been the culprit for a very weird chewing motion. Mischelle has had the vet look at her jaw and teeth and all checked out. But the problem could have likely been all the way up in her poll. Looking forward to watching her over the next few days to see if she can chew like a normal person... I mean horse... again. ~

One of my favorite little horses on the farm also got an adjustment, Texas Rose. She has been a joy to work with since I love little Arabians and I love a horse with a big personality! She does have some bad habits and I'm hoping that this treatment may help nip those habits in the bud! Judy adjusted her all over with little resistence. Texas was surprisingly calm despite the adjustments in her neck, withers, lumbar and pelvis. She seemed to really enjoy the massaging part of the treatment and she even rested her head in my arm at one point as if to say "this.. is... awesome..." Can't wait to ride her and see how she feels!
